Based in Manhattan with a consistent presence in Los Angeles, Rancho Mirage, and project nationaly, the studio specializes in high-end transformation projects and custom interior architecture.
Our approach is defined by a "low cool" aesthetic—sophisticated and architectural, yet fundamentally comfortable. We prioritize the integrity of natural materials, frequently utilizing silver vein-cut travertine, rift-sawn white oak, and gray marble to create spaces that feel both grounded and elevated.
With over a decade of leading brand and creative across agency and in-house environments, we bridge the gap between pure interior design and strategic brand identity. Patrick Thornton is a creative director and brand strategist with over a decade of experience leading global brand and creative projects. As the founder of CitrusMelon and Doren Studios, he operates at the intersection of high-end interior architecture and multidisciplinary brand systems. His work is characterized by a "low cool" aesthetic—architectural, sophisticated, and deeply intentional.
Based in Manhattan with a global footprint in Los Angeles and London, Patrick specializes in large-scale transformations, from luxury residential renovations to corporate headquarters for some of the world’s most recognizable brands. By integrating global manufacturing expertise with an Architectural Digest level of finish, he ensures that complex structural ideas are executed with precision in the real world.
